will reconsider their opinions now and accept that the sensible fans were right all along?

One would imagine that they would also look at what is happening at United and see how much they should value perhaps the greatest manager in the game at present being at our club.

We have yet to see what this improved side can do against a top team in the Premier League

Then we get into Liverpool at home and Yanited away, and the whole thing collapses in a tediously predictable manner :-(

We won all five of the equivalent league fixtures last season. But obviously yes, I'm hoping that the sensible people will be proved right this season.

Sunderland. We are short of a world class striker, our defence still looks shambolic on occasion and

WE HAVENT WON ANYTHING FOR YEARS

Apart from that it looks as if AW listened to the fans a little and finally realised that other teams wont sell him their decent players for a pittance. He has to pay the going rate. Long may it continue and Oh yes, lets win even the Carling Cup this season please

Moaners taking the credit for anything good that happens certainly takes the biscuit of delusion though.

But Theo missed four clear chances against Sunderland. Is it unreasonable to expect that maybe 75% could be put away. Or 50% or 25% for someone at this level. I just happen to think we need someone who will make the most of Ozil, assuming he continues to provide chances like this and I don't think it is Walcott. Giroud may score some but I believe a Benzema or Suarez will make better use of this service than our current strike force. Hence why I think we need a world class striker.

You disagree, fine I respect your opinion, if you actually tell me what that opinion is rather than just the pretentious , patronising comment about how ridiculous my opinion is. Its a forum, doesn't that mean people of sometimes differing views debate them. The bully who can only feebly put down others without a rational dissection of the others argument is obviously threatened by the others logic.

Discuss :)

and he was stretching for the header. Strikers miss chances, I'd be more worried if we weren't creating the chances

Remember all that stuff about him wanting to play up the middle and when he did his finishing was poor. I don't think he is a bad player but the original comment was about him putting chances away. The supply he also would offer a world class finisher is not insignificant

Curly

I also have severe doubts at playing CF.
For instance, yesterday Huth and Shawcross would have bullied him all game.I thought Giroud stood up to them very well for the record.
But I'd rather have Theo in the side than not,at this stage.

I may have thought twice before suggesting we need a world class striker. Do you have a link?

Bale - goals per shots = 15.8%
Walcott = 22.6%

the hat-trick against Newcastle was an excellent example of finishing

I've always said he's a high quality finisher and that goal against Marseilles was technically brilliant

Walcott isn't it.

Or are you trying to say Walcott is better than Bale? On that basis using one statistic so is Zamora but I hope we don't sign him

If I were a Wenger outer I would keep quiet and bide my time. It would be tempting to say something after the first defeat but I'd wait till there are at least three then do some modd type postings on awimb but of the Wenger out variety.
