There's a chap up in Sheffield that goes around measuring all the parking bays the council has set up in control parking zones.
If the bays do not meet the legal size requirement or the lines are not to standard - he informs the drivers that get parking tickets to appeal against the tickets as the tickets are not valid as the bays are not legally up to standard.
