My view on modd and this is my last post to him or about him

I would have no problem with his views if he wasn't posting so many times repeating himself day after day; and he posts over 60 messages within a period of about 30 minutes especially after a good result. It turns people's happiness to frustration.

I don't give a toss about his spelling, deliberate or not, but I do care that I have to search through all his posts in order to find a couple of other poster's views.

All this can be solved if the "Ignore" option hides the poster's messages e.g. for people that don't like him (or anyone else) they simply set him to ignore and they'll never see any of his posts again - Problem solved. At the moment all the ignore option does is to remind you that he is on your ignore list when viewing his messages

This is a big benefit to all users that don't like modd's posts but it will also stop all the abuse towards modd as people won't see his messages

Is this so difficult to implement? Better than having regular posters, some of which have been posting for several years, leave AWIMB because of modd or other people they don't like.

Sure, it's difficult to find others posts when he is on a particularly hyperactive run of form - but, is that really a massive problem?

I fail to see how a mature (lets face it, you lot are getting on a bit :-) ) userbase such as that of awimb can't just ignore him - or at the very least not bait/attack him when he's on.

If you don't like his posting, there's no reason it should be anything more than a mild inconvenience to you, if that. If it affects you more acutely then the problem is with you, not him.

I understand the feeling that he posts a little bit too often, and have even clashed with him myself over this in the past, but overall but I love his bouncy enthusiasm now, even when I don't agree.

Some people think he's a fake, but I don't. They say they can't believe that anyone could be that hyper, but I don't believe that anyone could be bothered go to the trouble to fake that.

Brentwood did some good work earlier in uncovering posts from an ancient archive, of the poster modd claimed to be back then, who posted in the same style. Add to this to the fact that countless mods and even Mr Headbong have stated that no-one else uses his IP. Yes, spoofing is possible, but there is more evidence to say that he is himself than to the contrary.

I agree that it would be nice to have a more comprehensive ignore facility for us all to use on those whose posts we would rather not see, but I can't see any software dev happening on this site, realistically.

It is a solution for the minority of people who believe there is a problem.

The solution is so arse-achingly obvious that it hardly needs stating. They can ignore him by the button on here or,if all else fails, they can ignore him the way we all ignore things we dont like- namely by ignoring him.

The fact is you have a guy who is saying nothing offensive, nothing irritating of itself and nothing negative. He posts hugely positive things about our club. The complaint thst he does it too much is pathetic, as is the act of coming on here tp say that you are now leaving for a few hours because of him.

We are entitled to say what we want, when we want, up to a point. Modd doesnt even come close to reaching that point.

Just look at his posts tonight, same content to every person that mentions him, probably around 100 posts. I just don’t get how you can't understand the way people feel about his posts.
