Today’s football fans are so different to the years gone by and I really can’t understand why :nono:
Surely supporting a football club is all about going through bad or even terrible times as well as going through good and great times. Today’s fans are really spoiled and if they think they are going through bad times now then I can only imagine what they would have felt like when we really had crap players such as Hillier, Kosmina, Gus Ceasar, John Howley, Glen Helder etc. etc.
A few of you still want Wenger out, our greatest ever manager, (yes better than even Chapman) the man that has given you the greatest moments as an Arsenal fan. I heard some of you claim that Wenger was lucky to get his initial success as George Graham left him with possibly the greatest defence in Arsenal’s history.
This is the same defence that under George Graham finished 10th and 12th (1993 – 1995) in the premier league and only 6 points above the relegation place
We have one of the best football stadiums in the world mainly due to Arsene Wenger but that came at a price, our financial restrictions has stopped us from buying top players and consequently success on the field. Wenger was also unlucky as during this period he also had to deal with mega rich owners of clubs like Chelsea and Man City yet he managed to finish in the top 4 more times than I can remember.
As an example of how stupid our fans are, yesterday one said that he still wasn’t impressed with Ramsey’s current form as he hasn’t really played against the top teams and Wenger had to go as he isn’t a good enough coach or manager.
:BAGHEAD: imo
