20 goals a season not a good return for Walcott. Needs to be in the 30's.

To say we should be expecting Theo to score 30 in a season is absurd.

He has demanded to be played as a striker, then you have to do what the top strikers do and get 30 goals a season as your base line.

Walcott spent months complaining about being played out of position, his best position being as a striker, he held up contact talks, demanded more money and from the outset wanted the # 14 shirt cos Thierry was his favourite player.

When he got the chance to play up front he was no better than when he was out wide.

Now he has a player in front of him who controls the ball better, brings others into the game better, has a better first touch, and is more consistent in front of goal, so he no longer wants to be a striker? Who's he trying to kid? Not forgetting Podolski is in front of him now.

If he had anything about him, he would be still proving why he should be up front. He's a player that looks for the easy life, he doesn't push himself more than he needs to.

Four chances he had in the first half didn't get one. Giroud and Ramsey both scored and didn't need so many chances. Says it all.

He should stop talking and start working.

It has nothing to do with if he 'has anything about him' to prove himself as a striker, it's not some machismo competition. He's seen that Wenger was right and that his best position is on the right. More inept players would have continued pushing and ended up lesser footballers by playing up front at a different club.

He's been our most consistently dangerous attacking player for the past two years, why you appear to have a vendetta against him because he wanted to play up front (note the past tense) but has now seen his error in judgement is beyond me.

Your argument was originally about the expectation for him to score 30 goals a season, and you're doing nothing to attempt to justify this as a reasonable statement.
