We went through a few years where we had less resources and there is no shame to say that because we have built a new stadium. Now we are back with the ambition as big as everybody else, if not bigger."

we can compete when he knew we couldn't. Hope he stays a few more years.

It doesn't make sense to buy Ozil for 50 million euros if you don't have some exciting long term plans. Otherwise a player like him will want to leave very quickly.

Or the skeptical Wenger out view would be we bought him to sell him next season.

I do think they could have been more open with the fans and media by saying that because we've financed our own £600million signing we would have to be frugal for a short time.

Still, it certainly appears as though the business plan than Arsene helped draw up is beginning to get to the sharp end.

Whatever it may be. Sounds saucy though.

I think the difference was that the fans wanted the cash to be spent as soon as it was there, Wenger wanted to wait till it was there and was replenishable. Now lets buy three or four of the class of Ozil they the team over the next 18-24 months.

in the world of finance. They have clearly said that it has had an impact on spending on many occasions
