How many people does their stadium hold? (I can't believe the sodding CWG got those c**ts a free stadium when we had to skint ourselves for a decade to get ours.)

But surely they can't have that much difficulty selling tickets. They used to still get 30k turning up when they went down to Div 3 a few years back.

So with their oil franchise winning things, you'd think they could flog season tickets at top whack.

They can get a season ticket for less than the cost of 3 cat A games at our place.

who know a good pr stunt when they see one. They deliberately dropped the prices to get the fans on their side

and lose 5mil a year without it being a problem.

I wish Manchester Council (or whatever it's called) had just leased the stadium.

Then they could say we want ten times as much from you oil-wallahs.

a) They could claim they were being green - taxing the oil-wallahs to pay for recycling projects etc.
b) Put down council tax to get the non-****ty-fan vote.
c) Get the ManU fan vote.

But FFP is no issue to them, then?

and do get a large wad of money from the Sheikhs so unlikely to change for a 250-year lease. The City owners are also pumping large amounts of money into regenerating the area so the council are happy there. Plus there are no Man U fans in Manchester obviously
