We were in the market for top quality players but there aren't many about.

Contrary to what a lot of people are saying, we lacked creativity in a lot of games last season. Most of our points in the run in came from our defensive stability. He'll make a huge difference and should be a catalyst for more players of that quality.

Likely didn't fancy Higuain at the price quoted....if we are still struggling to take our chances come January, I'm sure Wenger will bring in a striker...as to why we would buy the creative midfielder before the striker, well the market dictated that imo...that ,or the chicken and the egg theory
