In all seriousness we would've beat them if it wasn't for a fumble from our running back in their red zone.

I have one base of a password and then about 6-7 variations on it that I use. So if I can't remember one, I soon work it out.

Mine are now all highly secure random gibberish passwords, locked up in a single encrypted password safe which syncs between my phone, tablet and home computer.

But you are somewhat trusting a company with ALL of your security. Seems to be a security risk in itself.

And then what if you use a device that isn't your normal one, a work laptop or something. Do you need this thing on the device as an app?

The issue is, how secure each place is with your password.

If, for instance, your PW on here is the same as your Paypal PW, then once your PW on here is compromised( as the database on here would be FAR less secure than Paypal - who would invest big $$ in securing their system), then the hacker has your email addy & PW, and brute force attacks the Paypal site (or any other) and your details flag up a hit.

The BF system can run @ thousands of attempts a minute, so it might not take long for you to get unlucky.

each site/password combination is unique and itself random.

Eg

awimb@brentwood.com
facebook@brentwood.com

Then if awimb gets hacked they cant even use the same username

I thought you were suggesting using the same PW in more than one place - which I would advise against.

My mistake :-)

case it's stored very well encrypted anyway.

There is (in my setup) an app on the iPhone, an app on the iPad, and an app on the home Macs.

The iOS apps have a built-in browser, while on the Mac (and as far as I know on a PC), you get a browser extension that lets you fill user ids/passwords from the password safe when entering the master password. Works with all main browsers.

If I visit a new site and sign up for an account of some sort, I get prompted as to whether I want to add that site. This would then sync over to the mobil devices automatically.

Also holds encrypted versions of passport, driving licence etc.

Indispensible imo.

G-mail pisses me off as if you search for something you need to search the exact thing or nothing comes up.

And access them anywhere (when connected obviously). Reserving judgement on All Access at the moment - catalogue excellent, apps are rubbish
