....against my better instincts I watched some of the game last night only for Jack and Theo.Jack was ok but needs more games, the post match thoughts were he had a poor game ,and Hodgson said he wasn't match fit ......so why play him then ?????

Mr walcott however was lively ,but as we always seem to see with him, he does not seem to be able to keep the ball and is devoid of ideas when running with it ?

Does he not get coaching to improve this ?

Don't get me wrong I love the guy ,but unless he ups his game he will never be world class ?

Although badly put, you can see where he was coming from. He doesn't see a picture of the game ahead of him in the same was as somebody like Santi Cazorla does, that is for sure.

listening to tossers like that cnut Waddle (who by the way is no longer a TV commentator) about Theo

Has it ocurred to you that he was under instructions from Roy to stay wide and help the full back from counter attacks which he was doing a lot?

Theo isn't world class and never will be but then only a handful of players are world class during any era.

Give the guy a chance!

make a comparison then it should be with other wingers such as Young, Valencia, Lennon, Vivas etc.

playing off the shoulder of the last defender and running onto balls in behind, playing it into his feet is pointless, he wont hold the ball up and bring others into the game, he's very much the final move.

plus, he plays on the right wing for now, whatever he thinks of himself, it's unfair to say he loses the ball a lot, Winger's operate in a lot less space than the players he's being compared with.

but I don't know if it's because he's had calamity cahill next to him

helping his right back.

There is no way he can be compared to players such as RvP and Rooney as they are superior players in that position, end of.

As for Owen, he wasn't a brilliant footballer, he was however a very good finisher and when Theo played in that position he also scored a few similar goals to Owen. Again this is unfair comparison as Owen played in that position all his life whereas Theo is moved there in emergencies. If he plays there for 6 months and is failure then fair enough.

I do however believe that on the right is Theo's best position as he scores lots of goals and many assists.

Can I be the first to say he is even worse at defending.

night, stopped him from doing what he is best at i.e. run behind the defence as he has done many times for Arsenal and created and scored goals.

his chances. He's not a kid any more.

England don't know how do get the best out of him. Arsenal do.

Granted.....I except that totally , I was just frustrated that he runs into blind alleys, and he does not seem to be coached in a way to keep the ball and / or distribute so as to retain possession.
