likewise mexico. had some great afternoons in local Mexican cantinas watching the big games. some of the most down to earth folks you'll meet. They love their 'El Tri' team. Proper football fans.

They have a really good side. Plenty of good players and a decent manager...even if he was a diving y**do *******.

I thought that they are better than C.R. so I'm surprised that they're in a big hole already.

If they lose this match tonight then the Mexico match on Tue's will be very tasty, indeed.

Anyway, they just pulled one back...Come on you Colonist's :-)

they play in midweek.

always wonder WHEN the USA boom is truly going to occur. Such superb infrastructure, stadia, parental involvement in sports. if they ever truly decided to take it really seriously, they could be winning the World Cup.

:yikes:

the best country on the planet for a world cup, imo.

20 yrs from now the USA will be a team that not many will want to face. Sounds crazy when you think how **** they were 20 yrs ago, but they have really improved over that time. and they're just going to get better and better.

USA would be great. Great facilities and affordable cost of living.

I was in Italy '90 and USA were 50/1 to beat Italy. They wouldn't be now. Gave England all we handle in '10, not that means much we were absolute ****e.

f**king Qatar

having promised they could handle summer conditions etc.

They have failed to offer a pre requisite of being awarded the WC (i.e. summer schedule). There should be a re-vote.

was over the heat exhaustion that they think the fans will experience.

Blatter filled his pockets so full, there's no way that this latest fiasco the FIFA have caused will be overturned no matter how much it makes sense to do so...

And I don't see our season being split in two just to accommodate a world cup in a country that never made any sense to host it in whatsoever.

It is truly shocking.

Something has to give. Qatar now seems to admit the fake cloud isn't possible, and that keeping fans cool is impossible. It'd be ****, just like Japan /Korea was too.

Anyway, a force to Winter WC really screws up leagues etc,.Well,....read the article he explains it far better
