Sorry, I'm aware of how boring this is but I have an excel sheet and all I need to do is merge data from column a and column b together, no spaces, in a third column.

Any help much appreciated

I know how to do it in Foxpro which again is Microsoft.

Never really use excel.

You can do that for the whole column in one go.

In cell C1, enter the formula “=A1&B” ( no spaces) or “=A1&" "&B1&" "(spaces)

Then press Enter key and select the cell C1, drag the fill handle over the range of cells that you want to apply this formula.

The concatentate thing works fine here.

Send me your spreadsheet and we'll call it quits.
