Although I can understand his point of view

"Jose Mourinho has admitted he pulled the plug on Demba Ba’s move to Arsenal because the signing of Mesut Ozil makes them title contenders.

The Blues boss, who coached the German during his three years at Real Madrid, hailed Ozil as the ‘best number 10 in the world’, and has no qualms revealing his £42.5million move to the Emirates convinced him to block Arsene Wenger’s bid for Ba.

‘Ozil is unique,’ Mourinho said.

‘There is no copy of him – not even a bad one. He is the best number 10 in the world. He makes things very easy for me and for his team-mates with his football vision and the decisions he makes.

‘Everyone loves him and sees a bit of Luis Figo and Zinedine Zidane in him.

‘We didn’t accept Arsenal’s offer for Demba Ba because the signing of Ozil makes them title contenders.’

Arsenal are said to be fuming with Chelsea after they sank the Ba deal, leaving them with just Olivier Giroud as their only recognised striker until January."

That having previously dealt with us it wasn't bloody obvious - I would imagine the people doing the deals have a better idea of what they will and won't do. That's just your arrogance

have tied up Demba Ba the week before, now that would have been amusing.

So we are not a threat to Chelsea really in their eyes before Ozil arrived.

We normally win the games against non top 4 teams anyway. Ba if he was on loan can not play against Chelsea so there is no risk there. And perhaps best case scenario Ba helps us beat United and City. it helps Chelsea in the title race.

but the facts are this. Yes they have loaned & sold us players previously but the fact is on this occasion they didn't & for the obvious reasons given by their manager. Me as an ignorant outsider & many others predicted this on the evening of the transfer window. I'm not claiming to be an expert but don't think you need to be to have seen that coming.

And winds up everyone at the first chance. Surely someone factored that into our talks, no? One would be justified in using the word naive if we did not.

& I'm more than happy to have Ozil. Couldn't care less that we need other players we are still a quality team playing the best football in England, how bads that.

even without Fellaini, although I suppose he won't play against Chelsea thus meaning everyone else is more likely to drop points

Wenger should have done the Ba deal first (hindsight, I know)

Not convinced Ba would be the right guy for us anyway
