purchase we've made since the 1930s probably.

This has the real potential to step us up into a different league going forward. Not so much for what we will achieve this season, but in terms of who we can attract and keeping our best players.

Well done Arsene Wenger imo.

usually does when asked to join a team is look at their first team and see what names are there.Not wages,not the country.

I saw this in horse racing where the Arabs changed the face of it.
We have tried to do things the right way & take the Russian & more recently the petrol money at City out of the equation & we would have been far more successful than we have been. Indeed we would probably now be on the verge of dominance in England.
Wenger deserves huge credit for sticking with this, many others would have jumped ship long ago.

Not wishing to go too far back, but if you consider the sales of RvP, Cesc, Adebayor, Toure for big profits that were never fully reinvested, they have made this transfer possible
