View Full Version : So Bale has agreed personal terms with Madrid but Spurs and Madrid still haven't agreed on a price.

I was under the impression that it was illegal to discuss terms with the player until a bid had been accepted?

paperwork gets submitted simultaneously. Levy has overspent at this point, he needs to recoup that outlay or he'll have to shelve his stadium plans as it'll impact his ability to raise financing. He's being a ****, because he can.

In reality, surely it won't make a difference? If Madrid know he's coming and so do Spurs then they can sell players now.

Madrid are the ones that want those players out, but will they take the chance of not selling him until the Bale deal is signed?

If they do, Spurs could just have the contract in place but leave it until it's physically too late for us to get contracts signed.

Thus it would only unravel if the entire chain fell through, i.e. Bale's registration wasn't filed in time for Real.

who is genuinely happy with what he has, and couldn't care less how many players Madrid are selling.

If it's going to be a problem with those three from Madrid I'm sure we've got contingency measures in place.

whereas Arsene is a tight-wad who negotiates harder than the Israeli's and Palestinians. So, they're putting their energy where it can do most good for them and their clients.

football clubs.

I'm sure that if there was an injury problem it would be apparent by now.

Who was the last player that we failed to sign because they didn't pass the medical?

Good enough for who, or what, is another matter.

Have you got any idea how many players fail medicals when they discover some sort of massive heart irregularity or undiagnosed random issue?
