Yes, the new players look strong, especially Soldado and Paulinho, but are they really much better than last season?

I doubt it and settling in so many new players could be a challenge. The fact so many are from outside the Prem also means that they may have a significant dip in form and fitness mid-season.

Keeping the same core will really help us this season and they can carry us through. We still desperately need to strengthen the overall squad though with four or five new names...
