Peter laughed in my face when I suggested he was a £30m player. How far off was I?

Probably just over £20million imo.

what is his worth to humanity ? how many assets he owns ? or just a deep philosophical question :rubchin:

Andy Carroll was never worth that. The fact that Liverpool were quite mad to pay it does not mean that the player is magically endowed with that value.

Fùcking loads imo.

What makes you think he is actually worth double that a year later? A year older and now 28.

As a fetish.

Depends on too many other factors which you dont seem to take as an indication of genuine value.

We paid what we did because (a) Malaga were desperate to raise some quick cash and (b) On this occasion Arsene knew and others didn't. These are two factors that distort the usual market rate.

He is superbly skilled but he isnt in the cesc bracket. Not the very top.

it is by definition, perfect. It is the ideological claim that it is always right (eg Rich, earlier) which is the fetish.

and I actually think he's a better player :hide:

We may have to pay 40 million for a player of equal value but that doesnt make either him or cazorla worth that.
