I'd rather he didn't buy someone who is second or thrid choice. Yes we need a couple of decent squad players but as we are not a club who can gamble with money like Chelsea & City I'm happy to back his judgement & if it means we have to wait until next summer so be it.
Deep down he knew that the last 8 years or so were going to be difficult & he had to work knowing this but putting a brave face on for the sake of the club. Something Mouriniho & co would not have been able to tolerate, therefore, in the cold light of day, he has done a quite remarkable job really.
