View Full Version : Yes I agree we need 3-4 good signings but we do have a few positives this season

1. Rambo back to his best (started end of last season)

2. Fingers crossed Jack is over his injuries

3. Sagna back to his best, I thought he was dreadful at times last season - must try and get him to extends his contract

4. Giroud isn't as bad a few have made him out to be

stable force in the top four. We have loadsamoney to spend. We should have had a purchasing plan well before the window opened (arguably since last year which would have involved not selling Van Persie) and implemented it immediately so the signings would have been bedded in by now.

I fear the indecision means 4th is probably (once again) our ceiling and we have a big fight on our hands even for that.

The fact of a change of manager is merely a fact and nothing else.

Surprised he hasn't been snapped up by another club already. Mind you, Dortmund are certainly not the worst place to be these days...

I agree that our options are limited in finding a new forward. Benzema would have been great, but probably not a realistic option.

Really wishing we went for Gonzalo now :-(

but I would like to see Michael Laudrup take over- he would be the ideal person to move us into the post Wenger Era ....imho

problems between him and Abramovich sooner or later. Mourinho wants to win, Abramovich wants sexy football

But his career hasn't been an unqualified success so far. Far from it, actually.

Lets not get into thinking that we suffer from some eternal transfer problem that nobody else is faced with.

who knows - his teams do play free flowing 'on the ground' football and to my knowledge he is the only manager in the league with such an impeccable playing career
i like him.

The three best managers in PL history are Ferguson, Mourinho and Arsene Wenger and only Ferguson could be argued to have had a particularly successful playing career.
