probably won't want to leave. Arsene will need to sweet talk him. I still think we will get another striker, but i'm not sure on though goalie anymore.

Chesney has had two decent performances in the last week after the Villa horror show, so maybe Arsene will change his mind again. Then again, if he can get a goalie on the cheap he might do it.

I would've played him yesterday. When I saw the midfield we put out, I thought the back four was going to be horribly exposed. Fortunately, it turned out perfectly due to the opponents we were up against. Would hope not to see that midfield three again this season.

Fenerbache was f**king awful but fulham didnt look tht bad to me. Thought we looked quite settled and played well.

That midfield just isnt going to work every week. Expect what happened against villa just as often as what happened against fulham.

I just think Ramsey/Wilshere need as much playing time as possible, and they deserve it after how well they've done.

Sagna is a very good fourth choice centre back imo. Hasn't got the energy/pace to effectively play at right back any more. Still an excellent defender though.

Mind you, I still think it's quite possible we don't sign anyone. I don't doubt the desire's there but that in itself hasn't been enough up till now.

If we dont sign a centre back we are really going to regret it. It is quite ridiculous to go into a season with only seven defenders and just two fit centre backs.

I'm not criticising the players themselves or the performance, was a great result in the circumstances...it just doesn't look an especially balanced midfield three.

We have the same defensive options as a lot of other big teams. Man City have 3 centre backs and Micah Richards who is to them what Sagna is to us. Chelsea have Luiz, Terry, and Cahill with Ivanovic being to them what Sagna is to us. Utd are the only ones with a ****load of centre backs.

Whether you think the defenders we have are good enough is a different matter, but numbers wise it's the same as a lot of other big teams.

Its funny that people demand competittion and options in midfield but the defence has to have a settled pecking order and fewer options.

I dont particularly want sagna playing at centre back. I want him at right back. Every time you move him you unsettle a whole half of the defence. He has had to play across the back line already this season in just three games.
