You are only allowed to sell a product at a sale price for 6 months after price establishing the higher price for 28 consecutive days. To ensure our whole range of beds was half price for the whole year, the manufacturers supplied mattresses with different names on different sides. So on one side the bed is called Hazel, flip the mattress over and you sell it as Luis. Every six months we'd flip the mattress over and start selling the 'different' bed. So a lady comes in and says "I'm interested in Hazel, but I see you don't have it any more." "Oh, I say. Yes that has been replaced by Luis now, have a try." So she lays on the 'new' bed and tells me how similar it is to the other one. "yeah" I say, "it is basically the same bed." "Even down to the scuff mark on the base" she replies... Whoops.
