wengers got to be on a bonus percentage of whats not spent per transfer window .... its the only logical answer to all this bull****

but having just decimated huge swathes of the playing staff it doesn't look like he was expecting too much from that source.

I'm currently optimistic that he has some good targets that were just waiting for the CL football be to be secured.

It did come up a couple of years ago; Ian Holloway mentioned that he got paid bonuses if and when he developed a player. Wenger was asked to comment on this and basically refused (I took this as a confirmation).

But as I say, the less said about it, the better.
