I have to drive to the airport so I can't go to the pub pre match. I was thinking of going to The Shard? Or any other touristy things you suggest?

You could, perhaps, take a riverboat down to Greenwich and then walk back to Fulham along the river, crossing between north and south at random as you go. You'll come across architecture and statuary and museums and God know what.

Maybe an early start from Westminster to Putney, but avoiding the south side around Battersea, as you have to walk miles around teh power station. In fact, north bank is definitely better all-round on that stretch.
