I am going with this theory.

Whilst the Suarez situation looks like a bit of a mess for Arsenal.
It was on purpose to unsettle the player.

However he is not the real target. knowing Liverpool would be stubborn the only solution is now for Suarez to go abroad.

Our real targets lie at Madrid. Our Higuain bid was also to test the waters.


So now Suarez to Madrid opens the door for Di Maria and/or Benzema


However by buying players from Madrid we are indirectly strengthening Tottenham as our money is going for Bale.

The only thing I haven't worked out is if Suarez will go to Madrid or not.
