I thought this whole FFP had now kicked in.

If so, how is it that Citeh have still managed to blow just under £100m (less £15m for players that they've sold)this summer.

I mean, I never really expected it to work, but isn't that kind of outlay a bit of a slap in the face to those who introduced the idea?

what FFP had in mind. It seems as long as their owners can demonstrate a long-term commitment to the club's financial security, they're fine.

I mean, it's not as though they're short of a bob or two, is it.

What if there's a St. Louis Spring and Kroenke and the Chief are deposed in a bloody coup.

I think it was always intended to protect the smaller, more vulnerable clubs, despite the headlines.

I mean, why on earth would the authorities be against all that new money pouring into football.

I shall start a persistantly annoying pressure group to campaign for democracy in Abou Diaby.

never again could a rich benefactor come in and drag say a Blackburn or City up to compete. Thus it protected the big clubs not the small ones as they were sorted

a Premier chairman on a tv programme. As I can sadly remember neither who he was or when it was on TV I cant provide a source but his point seemed logical to me
