those where everything the team tried came off, the passing in particular. Fenerbahce were very disappointing, downright rubbish in fact. I think they were a bit surprised by Arsenal going at them straight from the whistle. Their crowd was IMMENSELY noisy, not a lot of UK Gooners in our end, mostly fan clubs from Eastern Europe. We should be through now, the team are always up for these CL games and do well in the group stages, so no massive surprise there. Fulham away will be different, they've outplayed us at their place for the past 3 seasons in a row. Looking forward to ten days of transfer idiocy now, which we brought upon ourselves.

And crawled all over them in midfield. We still lacked a touch of quality in the last third but it came off eventuslly to get us in front. Once in front, they actually got worse :hehe:

Still very large gaps in the back of our midfield and even on top of a really productive performance from ramsey you can se why he simply cannot hold that midfield together on his own. If we dont sign a midfielder in this window we are giving ourselves a major headache whenever arteta is injured.

and turning at the top of the box waiting for the gap and the run was a joy to behold.
