Bit harsh on Kerrigan - difficult when a spinner is targeted so early on his debut - Shane Warne's figures in his first game were 1-150. Woakes simply does very little with the ball at a nice pace for the batsmen. Not sure why he was picked

Steve Williams - gay for Mark Knopfler

Couldn't be bothered after that.

Great length, probing line, lovely bit of spin. He did well to smahs it back into my ankle at 100 mph per hour.

I had to hobble across to the other net to bowl at an idiot :hehe:

and concentrate on line and length but then just was so slow and hittable - or bowled wides. Funnily enough as a batsmen I think I really dug in when I started badly

couple of ODIs. Borthwick perhaps? Do you remember Will Beer? What has happened to him? Look at his first class record.

No pressure to push the scoring, you just have to stay in. It normally takes me at least an hour to get moving and feel comfortable.

Not ideally suited to 20/20 . I would be 7 not out at stumps :hehe:

not sure about the bowling. Think Borthwick is still in and around the Lions squad.

I listened to bits of Beer's one and only appearance of the season against Middlesex - 3-89 in the first innings against a side who get 500 and he doesn't get another chance
