View Full Version : I paid for my girlfriend and I to fly to South Africa in Feb and have had my card charged twice.

Was £1200 for 2 x return tickets and I've been charged £1200 twice over.

I will shortly be calling to complain. Is there chance I can get something from them to say sorry? Perhaps an upgrade to business class?

Unlikely unless you can show some consequential problems but best chance is to kick up a fuss, imply that this has caused you some hardship eg by credit card bill being larger than you could afford, caused you distress/worry etc.

on the funds. then as it completes it takes the money and the auth is released. usually in seconds. but sometimes it doesn't and it appe amount is held for a bit longer. appearing it to be charged twice but the funds will be released. or you very well may have been charged twice.

happens mostly at hotels.
