Odd that Liverpool seem to also be very close to Willian purchase.

or they will agree terms and then offer a much smaller fee. Anything like that and Spurs have a wee bit of a problem.

rather than once you are already in?

Perhaps it seems a shame to get all that extra cash and then have to blow it all on the top players that everyone will demand you buy.

and he said he only ever bought Spurs to impress his mates back home. He may not feel inclined to bankroll them forever, if he doesn't see results that will continue impressing his mates.

I always took the desire to play for a cl club as the desire to be paid cl wages.

Spurs cough up a fee and get players in, and they dont outspend us on wages. One lf these days they will buy the right players and then we are f**ked.

Never believe a billionaire, especially if he's Jewish.

So at least we're on the spectrum, albeit at the less desirable end.

need to, by definition; we've achieved our aim which is to qualify (sort of). We already have players good enough for this whereas Liverpool and Spurs do not. That's why they must spend.

We only really need to spend if we decide we'd actually like to win it. And probably not even then.
