.... and then some c**t went and blew the whistle to start a new season off and it's all gone a bit Blair shaped since then. Was totally expected but that close-season just flew by like a fart in a thunder storm.

Only 2 fit center halves. (Gee, what if one gets injured or suspended?) That's ok! We have Sagna who isn't a center half but what the hell why not? (Who is also our cover for Kieran Gibbs...but what are the odds Gibbs will get injured?)

No cover for Arteta. No problem. Look how many games he played last year. That's going to happen again, why worry?

No striker for chasing games, trying something different. (You just KNOW Giroud is going to get a red card in the next three games, or injured. Don't pretend you don't.)

So that's the source of the frustration. Everyone saw it coming and even basic level management could have avoided it. Newcastle ffs would have avoided it.

We all would have liked the club's business to have been done sooner but things haven't worked out that way. I think the club has been quite unfortunate, after years of financial prudence they are finally able to offer significant fees and then suddenly the cost of players virtually doubles. I mean, Liverpool laughed at a 40 million pound offer for Suarez and I thought 35 million was extortionate.
