View Full Version : Will the staunchest pro Wenger lot still be on his side when we flop early doors

with our paper thin squad?

We can't use the old stadium excuse any more

And buy no-one. He's still one of the few World Class managers left in the game and I'd hate to see him go.

The money is there. He has to get it right in the next two weeks.

It's just that my admiration of him could take that particular hit...

That said, I think we'll get some decent players in. Perhaps not what we've been dreaming of, or even should be getting with the resources available to us, but still decent.

The French ****s have really f**ked up this transfer window with all their money and inflating prices

Very few other managers could do that, though.

if that's the case.

If we have the numbers, and a quality striker come in, then the team is actually looking very good. Walcott, Ramsey, Wilshere, Koscielny and Gibbs all look well up for it. And then we've got the likes of Cazorla and Arteta as well.

Our team is, somehow, not that **** despite having metamorphosed into the whale from Old Man and the Sea which has chunk after chunk ripped out of it by the stalking sharks

Give it a few more years. Our financial firepower will start to show what with FFP taking force.

Why else do you think Chelsea can't bid any higher for Rooney?

Thus far, take the summer as a whole from the end of season, to ivan's comments, through the rumours and the one bid, to now.

Its been a PR disaster for the club, an absolute joke. I think we have to accept that something is badly wrong, whether it be policy, funding or individuals.

I have lost an awful lot of confidence in the club this summer. I genuinely worry that we no longer know what we are doing at the top level.

Arsene is still a magnificent coach but out transfer activity is beyond ridiculous.

And as everyone we are linked to has gone, three months later we are back on rooney :hehe: :hehe:

This has come up before.

Clearly there is a problem somewhere but as usual we are left guessing. Its like when two people spill your pint. You are left in the middle of an argument over whose fault it was and you are left without a pint :-)

But it's all mostly redeemable. If we were to make three clutch signings that all massively improve the squad, then no-one is going to remember in two years time when we actually bought them
