If he was two inches shorter and two yards quicker he would be on of the best defenders in the world.

He could be a little more dominant in the air perhaps.

But he makes the right decisions almost all the time, his tackling is superb and, as you suggest, he has a hugely positive effect on the back four as a whole. The others know what he is going to do and where he is going to be.

And he looks like a f**king good bloke as well :-)
