Would prefer Rooney though, tbh. He isn't suspended for a start, and linked up very well with Walcott and Wilshere the other day

I must say I thought we would have been in for him

Rodgers said yesterday that he will no longer discuss it because Liverpool have made their position clear and it will not be changing. I.e. He's not leaving because there is no time to find a replacement. And they wouldn't ever sell him to a rival, regardless of how much money was offered.

Just think what damage it would do to their reputations if they sold him now. It's unthinkable.

All of their comments could easily be attributed to them wanting to maintain a tough veneer for the sake of negotiations.

Willian for £30m if they weren't considering selling Suarez.

clause. Everton are a selling club and as yet haven't sold anyone. They may be okay this season as have sold their training ground so Liverpool council for £13m and rent it back but would suggest they will still need to raise some money

1. They have made it very clear that they will not sell him this window, even for Bale money.

2. We won't bid that sort of money.

Rooney is far more realistic because we're not a rival to United. And he wants to come to London. And Chelsea can't afford him unless they do some selling because of FFP.

Torres as they are this time. They're being very aggressive towards Arsenal.

Perhaps they're looking to secure a replacement before letting him go, though? Or more likely they are trying to convince him to stay by building a damn good team.

Scousers get a decent amount. Off load a moaning player and stick two fingers up at us in the process.

you're right about the rest though, Rooney to us may be in the making unless Spurs swap Bale+30 million for Rooney.

Less to a club abroad, but what football club that's actually run as a business will turn down an extra £20-30m?

I want him too, Billy. But we can't help Liverpool being c**ts.

he thinks we're a great club. Granted he may well choose United over us but he likes the club

Juve signed Obbbggonna for >¤15m but yes are actively looking to sell some players. Both have behaved responsibly.

Anzhi the one who have had problems on the money front..

City showed last season that it's not an issue to have four or five marquee forwards to play about with, perhaps Monaco or PSG or some other rich club could do the same
