"We are active," he told Arsenal Player. "We are in a situation like Manchester United, like Chelsea, where everybody expects signings and at the moment not a lot has happened.

"There are 18 days to go, so that is a long time in the transfer market and we will be active.

"I cannot certify what the number [of players coming in will be] but we will be active until the end, that is for sure."

For the record, no, I don't think he is stupid.

because you couldn't be considered a big club if you sold your best players. He also told us RVP would stay so whats not to be believed.

madness, granted, but many normally level-headed individuals appear to be close to exploding with fúcking ire!

Is there something in the water?

In it he said that we should be happy that aty least Arsenal are making bids for the likes of Suarez regardless of whether we get him or not.

Reminds me of the time we bid for George Weah. We didn't get him but at least we tried :hehe:

being ran like a second rate operation though, because others are worse off, it doesnt mean that our standards should drop, Arsenal are being mismanaged by Arsene Wenger, I dislike the owner, I dislike the board and I dislike Ivan Gazidis, however the blame has to lay with Arsene Wenger, we are constantly told how he manages everything at the club, has full control, ergo I am unable to blame Stan, Ivan, Chips, Law or anybody else, the blame has to be Wenger's and Wenger's alone, afterall he takes the credit when we win, he has to shoulder this on his own, he is not Arsenal Football Club, he is not beyond reproach.

not that it is necessary to pay that amount.

Bidding on its own is largely irrelevant.

I dont have £10million pounds, but I could safely offer it in the knowledge it would never be accepted.

exactly my thoughts, we could add another 50% and bid 60 million for messi we know it wouldn't be accepted so it's quite a safe action and says nothing about arsenal, why people are getting excited about a 40million bid is beyond me and as for the statement it says something about arsenal that's pathetic.
