For what I believe are similar reasons, Italy seems to be shut tomorrow. Only reason I'm not there this week.

I was surprised to learn it is also a day off in France - surprised because they seem to have all of August off anyway

Take that approach and we'll all be working over Easter and Xmas.
And Paddys Day.

Is decided.
If we dont qualify, we buy nobody. If we do it will be a bit of a scramble depending on who is left.
Hard to see the club coming out of this summer with much credit. Ivan's comments are looking more and more ridiculous with each passing day.

unless his buyout clause is met (¤20M I think), I can't see us paying that.

And we havent.
The guy is paid a lot of money to do his job and is clearly not stupid. Even if the precise detail of whst he said wasnt openly declaring that we would spend millions and millions, he knew exactly how the comments would be portrayed and received.
Quite why he felt the need to say anything st all is beyond me. It cant have helped, other than in shifting a few seasont tickets perhaps.
