“There is nothing concrete – at the moment.

“We want to play 55 games this *season and I think we are a little bit thin squad-wise.

I'd be happy if we sign him. Probably shows Wenger no longer gives a f**k about killing careers.

Is the way Rodgers keeps on putting the boot in, he has made his point why does he keep going on in public if he really wants him to stay?

I'm relying on him going on for at least another 10 years

A hitherto unseen exodus - which is probably why we're signing the likes of Sanogo and that new Perez chap.

Sebastián Pérez as an understudy to Arteta in that deep-lying playmaker role.

Pérez showed his class in a brief cameo today. He's just 20, but picks passes like a veteran of 35.

The boy can play:

And further isolating the player. Why do that? Why keep the news cycle going?

If its done and you are definitely not selling then you would keep quiet and find a way to work the player back into the squad.

Is he really thick enough to believe that making a public statement saying that suarez needs to make a public apology to the fans is going to help? Surely he cant be.

I am starting to wonder whether they are trying to force through the sale now rather than on deadline day

Unless the plan is that in World Cup year the player will put up with anything to play regularly.

I wonder what the South American cultural attitude is to humiliating climb-downs and grovelling apologies when you believe yourself to be in the right?

:hehe:

His actions so far dont suggest such a course of action. Do they honestly, genuinely believe that this tough guy posturing wins over the average modern footballer?

They seem to focus on what he has to lose rther than on the fact that he can have a massive, destabilising effect on their season by simply doing nothing.

Now rodgers cnt use him unless he apologises, which he wont. They cant sell him, they cant play him. And thy think he is in a tough position!

Liverpool come out of this looking like c**ts, whatever happens. It may not be reported that way.
