It's one of those things I probably would only do if I was a tourist.

The cuddle from he malnutritioned, lank-haired, slightly homeless looking Arsenal legend, I mean.

I was a bit weepy, to be honest. He was very kind.

One of my cats is at the vet. It's not looking good. He's old and very, very ill. Possibly cancerous. My mood is suffering as a result.

but it got his back up for some reason. Maybe he just didn't like my face.

I have yet to experience the trauma of pet bereavement. I anticipate it being significantly worse than losing my grandparents, especially as they'd stopped giving me money for my birthday by the time they died.

What is his/her name? I shall say a little prayer tonight.

Mind you, you've always slagged him off mercilessly, to be fair.

He came from a rescue home 14 years ago and clearly had been mistreated as he was always semi-feral, but if this is to be the end, we will miss the old chap terribly.

I appreciate your kindness, old chap.

The nice thing is that, unlike kids, you never have to stop calling your pet a **** to their face.

I was about to start blubbing myself if these two carried on much longer.

The sleeping bit. Not the cancer bit. :-(

You'll have to give him a CATegory A send off :-(

Some light word-play there to give everyone a chuckle at this difficult time.

I did the John Radford legends one. What a great guy. The tour is ok ie you see the changing rooms, press office etc but without the history of Highbury its not quite the same sentimental effect. However having Raddy run the tour made it really good with some great stories and he is an engaging bloke and he bridges Emirates with Arsenal history.
