He's not of course and neither is Poldolski.
He claimed to have an ankle injury last season that caused him to struggle. This mysteriously cleared up though once the season ended. So I will be looking to see if he can improve on his record of just two away goals last season in the league and better performances against the top sides.

You are correct about there being a lot of dross that has scored a lot of International goals but I would say that all the major Football nations have some pretty decent strikers as their top scorers. Only 22 off the legendary Gerd Müller

on his ankle . Then when the season was over it was said that the injury had now healed up. Whatever, the fact is that Poldolski's form was not good enough to get him into a regular stating position and he never, or rarely ,played for 90 minutes.
Gerd Muller played for West Germany and is regarded as being one of the best strikers in history. He also won trophies with the German side.
