"I think they need a goalkeeper, two centre-halves, two full-backs - for both left-back and right-back positions - another midfielder and two strikers"

Not to join us. The 2 are completely at odds with each other.

Neither of our keepers are good enough consistently
We have only one top drawer center half
Cazorla is great Jack can be and I believe will be the rest are good squad fodder, no more
And we have had a vacancy sign up front since Henri left

I accept the outlay would be substantial but if every other club can do it on tick then surely with what we have to spend we should be able to generate a bit of credit ffs.
And who knows, we might just win something thereby increasing our desirability to sponsors who wish to be associated with winners,
rather than unambitious accountants.

There's a squad limit of 25.

Ideally I'd like 4 players - a CB, MF, GK and ST. Only the ST needs to be guaranteed 1st team material imo

this position is filled with mediocrity you'll soon see his maths are the minimum we need for a team good enough to win trophies.

Too much complacency surrounding Arsenal at the moment, no drive, no will to win, that's one of the reasons we keep losing out on the big names.
It used to be the case that players who left Arsenal never really did any better. We certainly can't say that now.

instead of meekly accepting fourth place why not tell the truth.
16 points behind the champions (who, btw dont have a sugar daddy and who were the target to compete with in the transfer market with all our new stadium money)
and 17 games we didnt win, 1 under half of all our league fixtures.
A bit less palatable

"If you look at Arsenal - not won anything in eight years, just challenging for fourth place, not really any players there who will make him say 'I'm going to play with him and him' - Gerrard has got a point."

Thats the worse thing he said about us.
he also said "I'd welcome him at Arsenal with open arms,"

I reiterate, his arguments are valid, whether we like them or not.
Fact is, unless we strengthen or vastly improve on last years form we are in direct competition with liverpool, Tootenham, everton etc for the fourth spot.

but if your honest you'll have to admit with injuries etc Gibbs has to be questionable.
Monreal did well and I think is certainly good enough
But if your deluded enough to think that the 25 potential squad fillers we have now are good enough to win the title then carry on.

We will have a settled team who will improve. We need some additions, but not an overhaul of the squad

But are you saying we should get rid of Gibbs? You must be, as we can't have 3 players for every position. If so, are you looking for a squad LB, or a first teamer?

Seriously, I think we need 2 or 3 additions. I think that shrill demands for around TEN new players are hysterical.
