I was under the impression that the £70m quoted as being available this year was a one-off as a result of saving up for years. If it is in fact to be a regular thing, I would be a bit more relaxed about splurging ~£50m on the Bitey One.
We still need other experienced players though this summer, after all the departures. The all-eggs-in-one-basket thing worries me.
