He offered 30m when he knew that there was a minimum 40m clause in the cannibals contract ... then he goes back with the 40m offer ... but only after Liverpool had already said they were looking for 55m ... so Ivan then ups his offer to 40million and one pound !

Personally I would prefer that we spent the 50m or whatever it will cost to buy Suarez on bringing in other players.

it's not my money - so unlike some I prefer to see accumulated cash reinvested in the team.
However,I don't like Suarez and don't want to become another hypocrite by pretending that I do like him.
If he doesn't sign for us then everyone will go back to despising him. That's football. :-)
