But witnessing an ever increasing tide of middle aged pot bellies parading about in sponsored spandex on £1k road bikes and all the latest Evans accessories really has to cease immediatly.

I need advice in how to best effect a national campaign with teh strap line..

'All the gear - No f**king idea'

Perhaps a logo of one of these deluded misfortunates being pushed under a lorry is a good start point

I understand the clothes help cycling but do they really need the ones with all the sponsors on it.

It's like driving to work but wearing F1 suit and crash helmet.

In the name of decency, these people need to be stopped.

I've taken a casual interest in basketball so am now searing for a NBA jersey for when I shoot some hoops :hide:

or a professional event looking anything other than a total **** in that type of get up.
Cycling garb has to be the antithesis of cool.

The arrogance of it. What makes their pathetic lives so valuable?

Classic cyclist moment at the end. They were trialling a 'Dutch Roundabout' (which I thought was a sexual practice, but there you are) that involved cyclists essentially having right of way and use a separate lane from cars. Cue one cyclist going the wrong way around it and cutting across the lanes.

Was this a simple mistake on his part? Not at all. He justified it on the grounds that it was simply quicker to go the way he had. :shakehead:

And, if I might remind you, this was during a trial of a roundabout designed to make life safer for cyclists!

And cyclists wonder why they're hated.

Darwinism and 30 ton lorries deals with them efficiently enough.

It's the wearing a helmet that does me a number. Do they wear a parachute on their Easyjet flight to Majorca?

I would like to know whether I'm entitled to kick them off their bike in self defence when they charge through a red light at me.

Not sure whether she was saved from death by the helmet or not.

no reason to expect to be allowed to live. If I tried to walk to the South Pole wearing Bermuda shorts and a singlet, then I should face the consequences of my foolhardy actions.

Equally, if I choose to get on a few bits of aluminium piping and a couple of wheels that affords virtually no protection and ride it on roads containing fast-moving lumps of metal, I shouldn't whine if I end up suffering serious injury or death.

Also faster than Islington Cahncil let us drive in the borough. If I stick to the 20mph limit I get cycles zooming past :-(
