He's only 26 years old, he's one of the best strikers in the Premier League. Even if he didn't have a great season he still has resale value at 28/29 year old.

Also, his wages are a reported £150k a week. Relatively cheap compared to the likes of Cavani, Rooney & Falcao. If we get him for £40m on 150k a week I think it's good value.

Strikers like Jozy Altidore and Bony from the Dutch league are going for £10m - £12m. So you're not getting much in a striker for £10m these days.

all things considered, we ***should*** get through regardless of whether Suarez is in or not. If you weighed up all possibilities, what do you think arsenal would do. I'm hypothesizing that, not giving my opinion.

The training, getting used to teammates, getting injured in training, etc is another factor, altogether.
