the only reason Ponting remained as captain was because the alternative was Clarke was so despised by the public. He was perceived as a little bit too in love with himself - changed a bit now I would say and always comes across well in interviews I think. Still if you need a reason to call the captain of Australia a c**t things are very wrong indeed
