Sunday at 31c and there was little to no shaded areas on the ride.

How did you do your knee? I'm very surprised if you wear cleats.

Also, do you have a turbo trainer?

I have had it now on my last 4 major rides in the UK. Usually between 70 and 80 miles my right knee caves in. Surprisingly climbing cols in France I was fine. Perhaps it's the stop-start nature of riding in the UK with the short steep climbs and undulating terrain. Maybe it's the 0 degree float cleats I started using to get rid of hamstring tendonitis. Just ordered some 4.5 degree float ones.

Also, do you have a turbo trainer?
No Richard. I ride outside, or use the spinning bikes in the gym in winter.

Hope this helps.

simple Shimano pedals and cleats. But I have found that changing the cleat's position really works different muscles in the leg. So if one position is putting unnecessary strain on the knee joint then it might be worth changing.

Have you been to see a doctor about the knee? It doesn't sound quite right.

And also that these modes of transport are infinitely superior, especially for grown-ups who are allowed long trousers?

I have had a 2.5 hour professional bike fitting 2 months ago.
I do suspect it might be the fact there is no play on them, thus meaning the movement of my foot and knee are limited, thus putting more strain on the knee joint because the foot is anchored in too tightly. Will give cleats with more float a go. If that doesn't work I'll come and see you and let you sort me out :cyclingdrugs:

no draught beer. But otherwise it's not bad.

I think the tiki bar you might be referring to is called Lost Garden or something - It's new and I only went for the first time last week.

You were close to Aruba which is a bar/club at the pier. I DJ'ed on Saturday night because it was the beach polo that evening.

I hope you'll be back soon if you enjoyed it.
