On a related note, probably old news but everyone should really check out The Cult's "Manor Sessions" EP. It includes most of the original recordings for their "Electric" album.
The story goes that the band weren't happy with the sound so got B-Boy Rick Rubin in to re-do the whole thing.
Enormous mistake, imo.
