I also found some new respect for Zac Snyder after his remake of Dawn.

It lost all of the eccentricity of the original and failed even to be slightly disturbing (including the ridiculous foetus scene).


Why is Old Boy a film that needs to be remade? Hollywood has awful previous with their eastern/western remakes, even Scorcese couldn't do a decent job.

I liked Dawn myself, in as much as it's the least terrible terrible remake of recent times. I've no idea how Hollywood has run out of ideas though.
