was the better player. Novak had far to many unforced errors. One of worst final he ever played.

Could see murray winning many more wimbledon. best grass court player in the world by a long way the moment. With nadal knee issues, roger way past his best and novak not loving grass could see him winning four or five wimbledon

Not often you see a five-setter played in three sets.

novak Had 35 errors in 27 games today in just three sets. That is worst i have ever seen from him. andy would have won even if novak had played well as far better player on grass in my view. But novak produced worst final i have ever seen from him

I did not even think murray was at his best today. played better in the us open final and the olympic final. does not say much for standard but well done to murray all the same

fact remain is that if it be between non british player it was been no more then average tennis

us open final was of way better quality then this match. this match did not even come close to it.

well done to murray. won without even need to be at his best

won the olympics and the us open.

in my eyes he won today without playing his best. sign he will dominate men tennis for many years to come

right,. secondly i watch my tennis and that was nowhere near the quality of us open final. that was a 5 set five hour epic with both player playing well.

it had drama this final but it was poor quality. more errors then winners as the statistics show.

The errors were a product of the intensity of the game. Have you any idea how difficult it is to hit the ball that hard, that often, without eventually getting it wrong?

Even Roger couldn't have matched those guys for movement and determination.

just saying that compared to their previous battles in us open and melbourne semi final in 2012 it was average. for great match you need two players at their best and that was not the case today

i am not dining on roger. they are two superhuman player and murray are greatest ever tennis player in my lifetime. the man is icon of modern british sport and will be made knight in next few days

I was just being fair that from non british viewpoint that was a poor quality final.

You are right to suggest that The Occasion of a British winner might distort perceptions, and there have doubtless been matches with both players closer to their peak, but I don't think that the players have to play like faultless robots for it to be better than 'poor' or 'average'.

in a final before and looked up us open final and it was nowhere near.

standard from two icons of the game was average from their standard but look in end your get final like that. 2011 wimbledon final between novak and nadal was just as poor. not every match will be classic which is understandable

I still think if it was not british player people would not have called that a great final.
