Bloody iconoclasts ripped all the flair out of the places.

I was at York minster the other day and they seem to have decorated the place almost exclusively with royal and army based stuff.

Seems a bit incongruous if you ask me, what with the whole 'thou shalt not kill' thing

This may or may not coincide with defending oneself.

I'm sure they looked grand all painted up in the old days under the previous management, but grey stone is a small price to pay for national self determination, I think.

I honestly find proddy churches incredibly dull, it's like they've all been badly converted into a youth centre but kept the organ.
