They'll cheer anything as long as someone from this country wins.
So much so that English people have resorted to cheering scots. They even had no problems cheering Greg Rusedski just because he used to carry a union jack.
The wons most guilty of this are the same types who get the horn at the Olympics. They'll jump all over anything.
I remember when those ladies won the gold in the curling the country went mental. Even had the Sun or similar paper the next day with page 3 types posing as curling types.

It seems to go hand in hand with Athletics and Tennis.
This is not a post about Murray's ability/likability/nationality factor etc. IF you are a tennis fan and you like him as a player fair enough.
